Jimmy Choo Celebrates 15 Years of Crystal Shoe Collection

Happy birthday Jimmy Choo!! Fifteen years ago Carrie Bradshaw made Jimmy Choo a household name. Sex and the City started the glamorous international obsession. The hit television series created a new awareness for fashion and it still inspires women today. To to celebrate the special anniversary, Jimmy Choo founder and chief creative officer Tamara Mellon plans to launch an updated collection of the brand’s signature jeweled heels. Mellon chose the vintage jewels used to create the new Crystal Collection. Photographer Marilyn Minter will be in charge of creating a vintage-inspired ad campaign . Mellon said the collection, which is in its first wave of several series, will be released in the 2011 as part of the cruise collection. The collection will start at $695.
