Nicole Miller said the starting point for her Fall 2012 line, which made its debut Friday, was a picture of Jimi Hendrix. From there Miller ran with a line full of vintage inspiration and a couple modern twists. This show had a special nineties aura to it with a thrift shop trend.
Vests, bell-bottoms, suede, velvet, a-line minis and patchwork leather were all fair game at the show. The show really revealed a fresh take on fall fashion by featuring more colors than usual and Miller’s usual fetish for eccentric bold patterns.
While Miller used her signature bright colors to liven up her vintage outfits. She also created several LBDs to add to any wardrobe for anything from a business meeting to a night on the town. She was especially drawn to fun fabriques such a lace overlays to create unique silhouettes on all of the models.
