Christian Lacroix Forever!

CF09 Lacroix

I’m amazed that, despite all the recent drama unfolding about the future of Lacroix, he produced such a beautiful line – I guess that’s the mark of a true couturier.  One of the things that stood out to me about this collection is the wearability.  Lacroix has shown pieces in the past that I frankly couldn’t understand, but I can see myself wearing (and would die to wear) every single piece – turbans and all.  Let’s hope this isn’t his last collection!

Resort 2010 Collections

Resort 2010 Dear Kaleidoscope readers: Resort 2010 collections are in, and in what way!

Going through the different collections gives me butterflies: from Burberry’s edgy cool to DVF’s uber-femininity, there’s something for every taste.

What I would do to own that red Marc Jacobs dress! The fullness of the skirt, the pop of the sequins, it’s all you could want and more.  Alexander Wang shows his forte with draped body-con dresses in metal colors. Miu Miu channels girliness with a geometric cut, who thought those two could work so well together?  Burberry oozes coolness with this look, the loose coat, ruched sleeves and muted colors make up for an incredibly strong statement look.  DVF… every girl’s dream line. Colorful dresses that hug the body. They even make the headpieces look cool (ok, maybe not).  And Thakoon, the most wearable resort collection shows us the perfect summer look (take note!) feminine airy blouses with roomy jean shorts and killer heels. Deadly combo!
