We’ve all seen those gorgeous celebs, designer-clad from head to toe, surrounded by people yelling, “Who are you wearing?” and “You look fabulous!” This could be you. Ok, maybe you won’t attract the paparazzi, but thanks to the recently launched website, Wear Today Gone Tomorrow, you can now RENT those designer duds for less!
Wear Today Gone Tomorrow allows shoppers to rent designer dresses (the majority of their collection) as well asa more limited selection of tops, jackets and skirts. All you have to do is sign up to be a “member” (for free!) and start shopping – or rather, renting. The rental fee is 90% off the retail price per week, plus $9.95 for shipping and $10 for dry cleaning. You can rent for as low as $20/week and the designers range from Rebecca Taylor to Diane von Furstenberg to Phillip Lim and even Zac Posen.
It’s very similar to the website Bag, Borrow, or Steal. You may remember the scene in the Sex and the City movie when Jennifer Hudson admits her Louis Vuitton Bowling Bag is rented from Bag, Borrow, or Steal, saying “It’s like Netflix for purses!”
Both websites add up to the perfect solution for fashionistas on a budget. What will they think of next?
Location for the website’s recent fashion show in NYC. (I was there!)
So hot for fall: Sequins. Alice & Olivia Sequin Shift Dress; rent for $59.50/wk
Hey guys! Hope everyone is having an amazing summer! So I’ve got some great news… NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE starts this Friday, July 17th!
I’ve had the privilege of working there this summer, so I’ve seen all the sale merchandise weeks in advance/have had many chances to try it on!! So I’m basically just shouting out that everyone should head over to a Nordstrom this weekend to check out some amazing deals on the new fall merchandise.
A few items to be on the lookout for…
Michael Kors Jet Set Stone Watch in silver-tone which is around $150 (originally $250)
Fyre Western Boots Similar to these pictured down to around $180 (originally 260)
Plus a ton of marked down designer jeans (Seven for all Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Joe’s Jeans, True Religion, Paige, etc.) and tons of designer purses, and just a bunch of their regular merchandise as well.
SO DON’T MISS OUT! I’m bummed that I can’t buy anything until the first day of the sale 😦
But seriously, great deals!
If you’re in the need of basics for really cheap, American Apparel is having “Special Deals” – it looks like their standard stock in certain colors and sizes. And since we are all college students with shallow pockets, I found a free shipping code online: MIKECSHIP. It worked for me! I just picked up the Fine Jersey Leisure Dress (read: standard polo dress) in Gold – for $12!
Check it out here!
